WAMS’ Governing Board of Directors
Susan Rutherford, MD
President/CEO, Medical Director
Dr. Rutherford graduated from Washington State University and University of Washington School of Medicine. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is employed by EvergreenHealth, where she has served as founding Medical Director of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Program and also Medical Director of Women’s and Children’s Services. She is also a past President of the Washington State Obstetrical Association.
Kristen A. Fadok, RN, BSN
Governing Board Vice-President
Kristen has a B.S. in nursing from The University of Washington as well as a B.A. in Political Science from The University of California, Los Angeles. Kristen has a special desire to bring healing, comfort, and hope to the most vulnerable and marginalized in society, particularly those who bear the burdens of poverty and loneliness. She is filled with gratitude and joy to serve as a nurse, and takes utter delight in the people who cross her path each day.
Hervey Froelich, MD
Governing Board Chairman
Hervey is a board certified pediatrician. He graduated from Davidson College and then Jefferson Medical College. In addition, he did post-graduate studies at Regent College. He is a physician at Kaiser Permanente of Washington. He has served on other nonprofit boards and volunteers to help internationals here in Seattle.
Paul is a staff engineer at University of Washington’s Applied Physics Laboratory. A graduate of UW, Paul has been involved with WAMS since it’s inception, and served on the Advisory Board prior to becoming corporate secretary.
Clare graduated from the University of Washington with a major in accounting and a minor in French. She currently works as an audit staff in the Seattle office of Moss Adams. Clare has served as the President of Undergraduate Women in Business, a 501(c)3 nonprofit student organization at the UW Foster School of Business. She is excited to utilize her skills and passion for finance on the WAMS Board of Directors.
